Foot and Ankle Surgery

 

Dr. Khan is a board certified podiatrist and specializes in the care and treatment of traumatic injuries to the foot and ankle, including fractures, tendon ruptures, sprains, dislocations, sports injuries, and work injuries. He performs reconstructive foot and ankle surgery for the treatment of bunions, flatfeet, and arthritic conditions.

 

Dr Khan grew up in Chicago, Dr. Khan attended Northeastern Illinois University where he

played NCAA division III Football. He then attended Loyola University of Chicago where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He attended medical school at the University of

Osteopathic Medicine Des Moines Iowa where he earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine.

 

Dr. Khan completed 3 years of podiatric residency training at Sacred Heart Hospital in Chicago. Upon completion of his foot and ankle surgical residency, Dr. Khan began private practice in Illinois and was on staff at Rush Northshore Hospital and Northshore University Health Systems prior to coming to northwest Indiana in 2008.

 

Dr Khan has a passion for teaching, he was adjunct professor of Anatomy and Physiology for the City Colleges of Chicago. He has been involved in the teaching of Podiatric residents from Rush, St Joseph's Hospital Chicago, Sacred Heart Hospital, and residents from Franciscan Alliance here in Northwest Indiana.

 

Dr. Khan is an avid runner and very active in sports which helps him in treating sports injuries. Dr Khans method of practice is to find the cause of a patient's pathology not to just treat the symptoms.
