Dr. Jack Gelman trained in plastic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and subsequently completed an orthopedic hand fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. He has expertise in all aspects of both plastic surgery and hand surgery, with 20 years of post-graduate experience. He is a medical illustrator and uses those skills to help you better understand the anatomy of your hand, wrist, and elbow. He brings the unique perspective of his plastic surgery background coupled with orthopedic upper extremity training to give you the best possible result from your hand and wrist care. He employs his plastic surgery skills to perform minimally invasive techniques, minimizes scarring and helps you achieve rapid recovery. He takes frequent philanthropic missions, most recently to Haiti, and will continue to do so with his colleagues at OSNI. He is thrilled to join his colleagues at OSNI.
Dr. Gelman is an expert in all aspects of hand and wrist surgery, peripheral neuropathies, epicondylitis, and worker’s compensation. He is a frequent lecturer on occupational injuries to the upper extremity, emphasizing prevention and rapid return to work. He is experienced in Medical/Legal Reviews, Expert Witness Testimony, Independent Medical Examinations, Peer Reviews, Permanent Partial Impairment (PPI) ratings, as well as Insurance and Worker’s Compensation Appeals. Dr. Gelman is a compassionate physician, who is both personable and an excellent communicator.
